SINGLE BULLET THEORY: In Pre-Production Mode

July 15, 2005

Vocalist/guitarist Matt Difabio of the Philadelphia-based metallers SINGLE BULLET THEORY has issued the following update on the band's current activities:

"We are in pre-production for our next yet-to-be-titled release. We have 13 brand new songs written and are currently in arrangement mode. Thank god for the line 6 rifftracker, the best writing tool I have ever come across.

"All I can say is that this CD is by far our best work to date. With every record, SINGLE BULLET THEORY expands our dynamics and I can 100% say that this CD will be no exception. The heavy shit is still very present but there are 'hooks' that are infectious. The addition of Dan Loughry on guitar has been a breath of fresh air and his input will without a doubt be a blessing on this next CD. The dude is a monster player and probably the cleanest rhythm player that I have seen. We are still looking for a permanent drummer who can tour. We are working with John Sasso (original SINGLE BULLET THEORY drummer on 'Route 666') as well as Jason Dunkerly (studio drummer who played on 'Behind Eyes of Hatred') but neither of them can commit to doing this on a full-time basis. So, if anyone out there wants a shot, get in touch ([email protected]). Those who live near Philadelphia will be more openly considered. We also have been in talks with a very big-name producer (who I cant mention yet). However, if his involvement does come to be, we will have a MASSIVE record, without a doubt. The guy has made some of the biggest metal records in history.

"We are still looking for the right label to market the next CD properly. I assume that it will all come in time. For now, the music is the most important obstacle in the band's way and we are kicking ass on an incredible level.

"As far as touring goes, we hope to do some one off shows regionally in September or October. So hopefully we will be out in front of audiences again in the next few months. I can't wait... That being said, thanks to everyone who came out during the AMORPHIS tour, we had a blast!"
